NEWS: Just a few updates...

First off, Happy New Year! 2011 is set to be an exciting year for WWSBD. I have a few ideas in the pipeline, which are going to be pretty awesome if they go ahead. I'm not going to mention them all here though because I have a tendency to jinx myself with stuff like this. All you need to know it, lots more releases, and hopefully our first release on vinyl (employment depending)

You may have noticed that the store is now hosted on Big Cartel. The reason? Well, it's simply a million times easier than having to edit all the html myself, and haveing to make make a paypal buttons etc. Plus, I think it's more user friendly too! Also, it gives the option to have a pretty neat RSS feed on the right hand side of this page (check it out yo!). So yeah, check it out. We should have a lot more stuff for sale over the coming weeks from Dead Broke Rekerds, as well as some other labels too (bank balance depending!). So yeah, any labels wanna trade? Ok, we haven't got much stock, but if you're game we are!

I've also decided to copy Plan-it X, and go all environmentally friendly with this shit. Not because I'm a hippy, but because it makes sense. So, starting with Dividers / Ten Speed Bicycle Split, all our tape releases will come in super cool 100% PCW (Post Consumer Waste) recycled chipboard packaging. I figure cassettes are plastic enough as they are, so why rape the environment by using even more plastic for the packaging? I think it looks cooler too, plus chipboard doesn't shatter in the post or when you accidentally sit on them like plastic cases do. Oh, and before someone picks up on it, I know I said earlier that hopefully we'll be releasing our first Vinyl this year, and I know that records are highly damageable to the environment, but meh. People prefer vinyl to tapes right? And where I can I'll try my best to make vinyl releases eco-friendly.

Speaking of the Dividers / Ten Speed Bicycle split, it should be available at some point in February! It's all recorded and stuff, and all we need to do now is wait for the final mixes to come back and then send it away to the pressing lab! That's right, pressing lab! I learned the hard way that dubbing tapes isn't fun when they're 5 minutes long per side, and this tape is going to be 10mins plus per side, so scrap that! The tape is going to be limited to 100 copies, in four different colours (25 of each), and like I said earlier, will be packaged in awesome 100% PCW (Post Consumer Waste) recycled chipboard packaging, screenprinted with awesome artwork by Will Exley! Expect the release to be up for streaming within the next few weeks, and eventually be up for free download too. But in the meantime, click here to check out the tracklisting and stuff.

I guess that's everything for now. Oh, and before I forget, I'm going to start filming more shows this year. There's lots of awesome things going on in Swansea, and it's a shame it's hardly documented. This changes NOW! x
