NEWS: Muncie Girls S/T Repress!

Wow, I suck so hard with updating this site nowerdays. But yeah, the Muncie Girls tape repress has been with us for quite a while now...  Limited to just 30 copies, first 10 on see through lime green, the rest on blue. Get on it! Muncie Girls are a Pop Punk band from Exeter. They kinda remind me of The Measure (SA) crossed with The Cut Ups! Get on it!

Finally Shell, the long awaited second release from Pipedream of Cardiff City, is up for preorder! Why it took so long? Because it got re-recorded about 20 times because Tom probably forgot to save the mixes or something, I dunno... regardless, it's here! Atlast!

Pipedream combine the sounds of Jawbreaker and Mock Orange to create a sound that separates them from other bands trying to do the whole "pop punk" thing at the moment. They sound equally as fresh as they do a band straight out of the 90's. Pipedream are in a league of their own, and they're GREAT.

NEWS: New Tape by Verme Coming Up...

Did I mention that we're putting out a tape by Italy's Verme in January? I didn't? Well, we are! Verme are an amazing poppy emo band, that sound like a cross between Lifetime and Braid... with Italian vocals. They absolutely rule, and I can't wait to put this out!

The tape itself will combine everything Verme have recorded and released to date, and will be out just in time for their UK tour with Well Wisher in January!

NEWS: New Releases...

So, I've been talking for a while now about new releases which I'm pretty fucking excited about and I can't keep my mouth shut any longer. So here they are...

Some Sort Of Threat / Olive Anne Split
After what seems like years of talking about this, it would appear the ball is finally rolling, and this tape SHOULD be finally available next month. Two of my favourite acoustic artists sharing a cassette. This is going to rule!

New ten speed bicycle!
It's probably been a while since you've heard anything about this band doing anything. Some people even thought they'd split up... well, they haven't. And at this moment in time they're working on a 5 track EP which will be released on tape via WWSBD in December. What it sounds like? Kai says "More Indie" which is perfectly fine by me!

Pipedream - Shell EP
After a storming first demo (A 2nd press of which sold out in a matter of days from us!), Pipedream are back with a brand new EP! From what I've heard already expect some slower sweet emo jams! This band rule! This is going to be with us VERY early in 2012 so keep yer eyes peeled!

We also have a few more releases in the pipeline which we are very very excited about, but we'll post about them closer to the release dates. But thanks so much for supporting WWSBD, and buying tapes and generally keeping this shit alive! Everyone rules!

They've arrived! The 2nd Press of Pipedream's 2011 Demo Tape is now available on "SNES Grey" Cassette from our store for just £2!

Pipedream are a great new pop punk band from Cardiff, South Wales. Influenced by 90's emo with a bit of Jawbreaker and Mock Orange chucked in for good measure, shit is good!

Limited to just 30 Copies, these will probably go quite quick! The new Pipedream EP will be available from us soon at the end of this year / start of 2012 in tape format. Exciting times!

Watch Commander are a great new melodic punk rock band hailing from Worcester, England. My band were lucky enough to play with them on our recent tour and I was completely blown away by how enthusiastic and heartfelt their tunes were for a fairly new band. In a word, Watch Commander are great and if you enjoy the likes of Make Do And Mend and Hot Water Music they will be right up your street! "Closer To Home" showcases the bands ability to to write songs pulsing with both abrasiveness and melody, in a way that so many bands have tried and failed in recent years! NEWS: Forrest Preorder Details

So to make things interesting we've decided to release the Forrest Demo at exactly the same time as Pipedream one. The "official" release date will be on the 20th July, at the Living Daylights / Great Cynics show at Mozarts in Swansea. However, much like the Pipedream tape, for those who cannot make the show, or simply want one sooner, preorders will be available from the 11th, which will be posted out on the 15th.

For those who missed my post earlier this week about them, Forrest are a brand new pop punk band from Neath, South Wales playing catchy heartfelt tunes, full of passion and honesty. For fans of Such Gold, Small Brown Bike, and backpacks (winx).

The tape will be limited to 50 copies, 25 of each colour in Blue and Green. You can download the demo for free from here!

DOWNLOADS: Pipedream - Demo 2011

A few months ago, there were hardly any decent new bands coming out of South Wales, and all the old decent ones were splitting up, and to be honest, I feared for the state of punk in South Wales. Then came Pipedream.

Pipedream are a new band from Cardiff, consisting of my longtime friend Josh BT (of Question The Mark... you all know him, right?). They play pop punk in the vein of bands like Title Fight and bands like that, combined with the sounds of 90's emo and little bit of Jawbreaker thrown in for good measure, which definitely separates them from other bands doing the same thing at the moment. To date, I believe they have only played one show, but hopefully now this demo is "out there" they'll be playing a whole bunch more!

Also, we're pretty excited to be releasing this Demo in tape format hopefully pretty soon. More news on that, when we know it, but for now, download, and enjoy!

NEWS: Dividers / Ten Speed Bicycle split!

We're pleased to announce that we'll be releasing a split between Dividers and Ten Speed Bicycle. Ten Speed Bicycle come from London and play Emo-esque pop punk ala Snowing, Latterman and stuff like that. They're probably one of the best bands I've heard this year, so needless to say I'm excited to be working with them! You can hear two songs from their home recorded demo on their myspace page, for a taster of what to expect! Dividers are from Swansea, and uh, you know the score. We basically play Melodic Pop Punk songs ala Get Bent and Jawbreaker. More news will be posted when more shit gets sorted.

Spraynard are a Pop Punk band from West Chester, USA. Imagine the melodies of lifetime combined with the rawness and honesty of the likes of Iron Chic and Yo Man Go and you are half way there my friend! Spraynard are just three video game and zombie-loving best friends, doing it for the sake of it and for the fun of it. DIY to the core.This is Spraynards first demo, originally self released about 2 years ago. They have since then gone to release an awesome full length via Runner Up Records (downloadable for free from ifyoumakeit.com), aswell as some great splits with Captain We're Sinking, Break The Habit, and Paramedics. This tape is limited to just 50 copies with hand-numbered screenprinted inlays, a lyrics sheet, lovelly pink coloured cassette and a free Spraynard Heart Pin Badge!

So the Spraynard tapes are all dubbed and ready to go. Dubbing tapes is a really tedoius process, but luckilly for Spraynard their songs aren't, which made the whole procedure a lot easier!

They'll be available as soon as the badges arrive, which should hopefully be later on this week. Only 50 of these have been pressed, so don't sit on this.

In other tape related news, we only have TWO copies of the Dividers demo tape available. If you really want one, I suggest you pick one up pretty quick.

Dividers are a punk band from Swansea, UK. This tape features 3 of the first recordings we ever did with Corbin Parsons at the BBC studios in Swansea. All he asked for was a Sausage Roll. Trevor Cavell once said that we sound like "Get Bent, Potboiler and Lawrence Arms all making a big mess over someone from Lattermans chest", so I guess we'll go with that. This tape is limited to just 30 copies! Screenprinted Hand-numbered Tape Insert, Lyrics Sheet, lovelly Green Cassette (and a matching case), and a free "Penis Owl" pin badge (you'll see what I mean when you see it).

TAPES: Olive Anne / Some Sort Of Threat

Livi (Olive Anne) and Rory (Some Sort Of Threat) are probably my favourite acoustic acts in the UK at the moment, needless to say I'm pretty excited to be part of this. They will be recording songs soon which will be featured on a split, which will be released by us at WWSBD in tape format in August. This has literally only just been confirmed, so details are pretty sketchy, but I guess it'll be the same deal as the Dividers and Spraynard tapes. Limited to about 30-50 copies, screenprinted inserts etc etc... Stay tuned for more updates and stuff.
